MAGAZINE FRONT COVER
Masthead: PUNX ATTAK, this will be in pink and yellow
writing as these colours are heavily associated with punk as a genre. They are
also featured a lot in the sex pistols album “never mind the bollocks here’s
the sex pistols”. A very popular punk band.
Central image: Johnny Rotten
Puff: this will be located at the bottom right if the
magazine with the barcode and the price of the magazine.
Cover lines: the cover lines with have the bands title or
logo and have key information about key gigs and events coming up and what
specific information or bit the TA want to read in the article.
Secondary headline: this will be about a few different bands
that are featured in the article and gossip about new clothing. It will be the
title of whatever the small section on clothing and gossip. In my magazine it
is called “PUNX NOT DEAD”
Codes and convention: the codes and conventions on the front
cover of my magazine is going to be in the form of anarchy symbols. This is
good because the TA will know straight away what the magazine is about because
anarchy is highly associated with punk music.
Secondary image: the other image on the front cover is st Georges
cross. It is very large and not hard to miss and, if sold in the UK, it will
look appealing to an everyday person as they will see their country flag and be
interested. Also the TA will recognise it because they will know that punk
culture was at its highest in Britain and specifically England.
Free gift: you will get a free cd with the magazine which
will be attached to the front cover.
some interesting points made...I like the ink between the colour of the mast head and the representation of punk, I can also see that your ten fonts are very much suitable to this genre. Try top develop sections further and mention more aboput TA engagement and expectations-DG
ReplyDeletea good list which will help clarify what will feature on the magazine, how suitable are these C and Cs for the genre of music chosen.
